Joe Santangelo for Assembly
I’m Joe and I’m running for State Assembly to fight for the working families of Brooklyn. As a father, Army veteran and former Manhattan Prosecutor, I could not stand idly by while our economic opportunities disappear and our freedoms are torn away from us.

A NEW GENERATION OF LEADERSHIP
Our community needs a new generation of leaders to step up. If we do not make a change right now, we will lose things that we can never get back.
Younger generations were told that hard work and an education would secure their economic futures, but after 2008 it became clear that this was no longer the case. Now, every generation is fighting to retire, unable to pay for healthcare, and struggling to make ends meet.
The bright economic future we were promised has been stolen from us by big corporations and a political system sold to the highest bidder. We need leaders who understand the urgency of our new economic reality and who will push for bold change.
GRASSROOTS CAMPAIGN
I do not accept donations from Real Estate developers, Casino lobbyists or Corporate lobbyists. This is the only way voters can trust their representatives are independent and listen to their constituents.
This campaign is powered by grassroots donations! We need your support.

Our District is currently represented by Republican Alec Brook-Krasny, who thinks Donald Trump is an “American patriot…that we need in the White House[.]” (source). He has sided with corporations that use deceptive business practices against working class consumers (The FAIR Business Practices Act) (source). He also voted against employment opportunities for members of our community who are disabled or have been formerly incarcerated (source).
THE TIME IS NOW for our district to have a representative that will fight for affordability and the working class.
